This post may be long, but each section is in bold to be easier to search for what you want.
An informative look at how corrupt our law enforcement people have become. As well as a government who refuses to do anything about it. quote"We do not control the police or tell them what to do or how to do it.......And it is illegal for any other entity to do so also"unquote. Crime Stoppers in Kelowna wanted to fund 3 officers to investigate tips. But the BC government said that was illegal.
Yet ICBC(insurance corporation of BC) tells the police how to do their job and where to do it. ICBC denies this, but at a roadblock when the police say this is a ICBC roadblock,, Well thats telling the police what to so. When ICBC publicizes that the police are going to do a certain action all week long, Thats illegal. . So ICBC pays into a safety fund that goes towards policing. So in other words ICBC is 'laundering' the money to the police, as ICBC and no one is allowed to directly fund the police. And the government turns a blind eye to this.
Roadblocks are illegal. Always have been and always will be. About 29 years ago(around 1978) a judge allowed the police to conduct roadblocks to look for drinking drivers in the name of 'safety'. Back then it was just during peak drinking times(holidays) and not 20 questions or a full stop. But as we all know that roadblocks have become a way to abuse the public, by looking for crimes other than drinking drivers, which is illegal.
If an officer asks you questions ,other than "Have you been drinking". Then use the phrase,,"And that question is in violation of a judges order". Then get their name and number and detachment(as per the law). If he refuses? Then just file charges against the whole detachment or officer in charge of that shift..
A quick explanation of how to act at a roadblock.
A link to the BC Civil Liberties site on a judges order that is being ignored by the police. It is more than just that one court case. It Is expensive to constantly go after the police to have them conform to our laws.
A link to a good explanation of roadblocks.
ICBC also controls everything to do with the roads in BC. They operate the weigh scales for big trucks. They control your drivers licenses. They own the police apparently(Tell this to an officer and be automatically assaulted). Seems strange that a insurance company would be allowed to control all these things in BC. And don't forget all that personal information that they also have access too. Time to get rid of this monopoly company and allow other company's to provide basic insurance in BC. Will rates go up? Who knows. But we really need to cut the legs out from under ICBC to restore our justice system from so much manipulation.
ICBC moving into cash cow territory.
So starting in January 2008. ICBC will officially classify people that drive somewhat badly as "Drunk Drivers"....Driver risk premium, as it is called. They have sent letters to people calling them 'High Risk' drivers.
Lets get rid of this Overpowered insurance company now. Those who actually drive badly should not get insurance. And if they drive other peoples cars? No more license, with enough crashing, demerits, etc., to the point, that no normal insurance company would touch them.
And look at all the profit ICBC will make on this new system..Imagine how many more roadside suspensions there will be..$$$. . . .Put simply. Get a Conviction(roadside suspension needs no conviction because it operates outside of legal law) and pay up to a thousand dollars or more over 3 years.
And remember once again that you have been 'convicted a second time' of a driving infraction and don't need to see a judge to be declared a dangerous driver by ICBC. If this happens to you. File a restraining order against ICBC and take them to court, so they can have the opportunity to prove that you are a dangerous driver and that, "the out of the court system fine", is legal.
Is it legal to 'fine' someone twice for the same crime??? Even though this is extortion. "Drive nicely and daddy won't get out the belt and make you regret ever being born".
A site for information to help you win your ICBC case.
And please feel free to sue ICBC if you have been declared a dangerous driver by ICBC. Have ICBC prove that you are indeed a dangerous driver, in court, in front of a judge. If you were to get two speeding tickets in a year, at say, 10Kmph over the limit? Forgot to put on your seat belt? Maybe even a ''just burned out' turn signal light? Have ICBC prove that the ticket you have been 'convicted' of, allows them to call you a dangerous driver. Simple law.
By the way...I do not drink or do drugs, so please release your human nature and think with the logical part of your mind and not the emotional part.
A Roadblock set up to check drivers papers would seem to be illegal(under the guise of a drinking driving roadblock). Roadblocks are only for looking for drunks. But if the officer is doing 'Profiling' , then just because of your looks, you may be asked to show your papers. And you will have to comply or be arrested. But you should still report him for appropriate charges.
Habitual drinking drivers will drive no matter what roadblock is there(figure show that the amount of extreme roadblocks now, do not lower the rate of drinking drivers). Because in court,,,The driver says to the judge that they need to get to work or get to the doctor or church or get food. So in reality the driver just drives a bit less than before.... This is the reality is educated defense court cases. How many drinking drivers are actually put in jail for 2 weeks? The government does not like to spend money on keeping prisoners......
Drunk Ticket for not even driving drunk?
People who feel they are not sober enough to drive as their alcohol content catches up with them. They pull over to a safe area and go to sleep. Officer comes along and smells the alcohol and gets a breath sample. Person is then convicted of drunk driving on the spot. Why? Because the occupant was in control of the vehicle. Either by having the car keys within reach ,or the latest, actually being in the vehicle and maybe breaking the parking lock and causing the car to move dangerously.
Creating a 'prohibitionist' state is morally wrong if innocent people must be subject to detainment and monetary loss.
Lowering the BAC is acceptable(to .o5 blood alcohol content), but the police have stated that they enforce 'zero tolerance' ,which makes any BAC limit useless.
There are approximately 22,000 vehicle accidents a month in BC.. So where are the police to deal with those drivers? Oh wait. The police are in the station house or blocking the road in one spot. Come to BC and drive like a maniac. Just don't do it where the police are watching. Traffic enforcement requires the radar gun to be shut off and the officer to actually watch whats going on around him. I have been behind police cars and seen cars doing illegal acts within a block forward or behind. Yet the police officer see's nothing. Those tickets are not allowed to be written, due to court costs.
The 24 hour license suspension system is in short terms, illegal. You have not committed a crime to have your license taken away. Did the officer conduct a field sobriety test? Or did his little hand held machine say you were drunk? If you were drunk then you are supposed to be arrested and taken to jail for a proper BAC(blood alcohol content) test. If you are impaired to drive and a field sobriety test gives evidence to that, then get a ticket for court to answer to the judge as to what made you impaired(medical or low alcohol tolerance)....Otherwise the officer only laughs at you and all that money you will have to spend to get you car back from the towing company. Take the day off of work. Pay for a cab ...Meanwhile ,the officer, if he were to be wrong and just punishing you on the spot, would receive no punishment for his crime against you.... That is why police officers are judge ,jury and executioner...The government likes it that way as it does not use up valuable court time..
Roadblocks for safety? Then why are they set up behind a rise in the road or around a blind corner with absolutely no signs saying traffic is coming to a dead stop? And roadblocks on the highway? No warning signs saying to slow down either. But the police do not care about workman's safety rules... So the charge of"Endangerment of life and property" could also apply.
A link to a good explanation of roadblocks.
What questions are allowed to be asked by the police at roadblocks? "Have you been drinking alcohol". And asking about traffic violations(technically a violation found is not enforceable, due to the roadblock being only for looking for drinking drivers). That is all. No asking where you are going. Where have you been. What are you doing. A link to the BC Civil Liberties site on the case.....
And an excerpt..
""""However, in a later case, the Court ruled that police were only entitled to ask people about traffic offenses. They are not allowed to stop people in order to go on fishing expeditions," explained Tousaw, "Police can not simply stop your car and question you about your reasons for being in an area."""""
The police have recently begun to illegally search peoples vehicles(it used to be an illegal search through the window). If an officer asks you to open the trunk. Don't do it. No matter how afraid you are of being attacked or arrested for doing nothing wrong. Some officers will consider this not complying with an officers orders, But there is no law being broken to allow the officer to ask for the search in the first place.
Crimes the police commit at a roadblock? Unlawful search(through the windows) Unlawful questioning.(What are you doing). Unlawful detainment(You were not breaking any law and were forcibly stopped). And lets not forget the right of "presumed innocence". Plus the police are guilty of 'dereliction of duty'. Meaning that while they are parked in one spot, There are a multitude of various crimes going on around them being ignored. You all know those intersections with the ignored stop sign or the red light that always gets fudged by someone who just couldn't be bothered with stopping that quick, while speeding through small towns on the highway.
Are Judges being coerced into allowing these violations of law to continue? And by who? The government? Quite possible. If a Judge were to rule against the government or police actions on a continuous basis, The Judge may be demoted into a lower court position. So it is job security to allow the people of BC and Canada to be continuously attacked and violated by the police. But are there any Judges who will stand up and report this to the people? It could mean an interesting promotion and no fear of being fired with hard evidence brought forward. Don't let any confidentiality agreement stand in the way of our rights and freedoms. A confidentiality agreement that suppresses rights and freedoms is in itself illegal. That would be like an officer murdering someone and telling the rest of the knowing officers to shut up or be killed too.
But lets use simple terminology to see where the judges are flawed in allowing roadblocks. In boxing, if there is no knockout, then they use a point system to determine the winner. So most points wins. . But in the judges ruling to allow roadblocks.....We have about 5 counts against roadblocks and one for roadblocks. So no roadblocks allowed then, according to a fair system of checks and balances, right? And this is where our legal system to do with rights and freedoms, slowly dies a horrible, painful death.
About 5 U.S. states do not allow roadblocks. Maybe seatbelt checks only , that if any evidence , other than non-use of a seatbelt , comes up. It is inadmissible in court. So these officers will put up signs on the highways that say ,"Drug roadblock ahead". So what the officers do in reality is wait for vehicles of terrorized citizens to do an illegal action, like a u-turn. So then the officer stops the vehicle and forces a search of the vehicle..The people do not realize that the police are committing an illegal action and allow the search for fear of their lives. And also do not realize to take the illegal u-turn ticket to court to have the officer punished.
The whole Patriot act in the U.S. is illegal and only exists in the name of "safety". Why else would the government or police be able to terrorize their own citizens as potential terrorists. Rape people looking to board airplanes(is a full strip search warranted for domestic flight?). And stop and search innocent people at mass transit stations.
An interesting link. Amazing on how the police and government terrorize in the name of safety.
So if you are committing an unlawful action by transporting marijuana and get stopped and searched at a roadblock due to the smell? Well did you get a ticket to appear in court? If you did not get a ticket...You were just robbed. If you got a ticket? Did the prosecutor throw out the ticket before court? Or did the judge throw out the ticket in court? Why?? Well the roadblock is only for looking for drinking drivers and not for looking for crime. But will you report the officer to the papers or the RCMP complaints office.
And as a result of the confiscation. Did your house get searched for evidence of wrong doing? Once again a search resulting from an illegal action of collecting of evidence at the roadblock, is an illegal search and the officer in charge must be punished.
Why are the police not willing to do their full job description?
So the police have become so budget minded that they release news statements on what parts of their jobs they will no longer do.
Have a accident and minor damage? Let ICBC handle it. Have an accident and major damage but no injuries and cars are drivable? Let ICBC handle it. Avoid an animal in the road and go into the ditch? Let ICBC handle it (Unless an officer happens by and will ticket you for driving without due care and attention for being in the right side ditch and ticket a failure to keep right for being in the left side ditch."What animal" the officer says. "Tell it to the judge").
The police also write tickets that would never stand up in court. But you would have to take the day off of work to fight the ticket and the officer gleefully smiles as you still have lost 120 dollars for the day no matter what you may of done with the ticket...Next time ask the judge to penalize the officer for such a waste of yours and the courts time.. .
The police even refuse to answer 'gas and runs'. Theft of gas from gas stations. Why? Well theft of gas is a misdemeanor(20 bucks) and therefor not worth their time. So a while back ,an attendant was dragged to his death by a gas and run car. The government and police response? Make it so drivers have to prepay for their gas in the overnight hours. Why do we even need the police around with logic like that. Why not legislate gas and runs to be a major crime of actual arrest. Even though a misdemeanor is a ticketable offense to go before the judge anyways(Or has a misdemeanor just become a way to make money for the police with a "Pay the fine and don't get caught again"). So prior history would play into the judgment.
When was the last time a police car actually patrolled in your neighborhood? With the radar gun off? Patrols cost money in gas and tire wear. So setting up a roadblock is so much easier to look for evidence of crime even though that is illegal to do at a drinking driving roadblock.
MADD is wanting to bring back prohibition.
MADD. Otherwise know as Mothers against drinking drivers. In the beginning they were all about helping people who were the victims of an alcohol related accident. But now about 86% of their budget goes towards advertising. Many members of the organizations are leaving or no longer making donations. Why? Well MADD has moved into the position of wanting to bring back 'prohibition'. Meaning nobody should be drinking at all. Anywhere. Anytime. MADD even supports a bill in government that would allow the police to take a 'sample' or either hair or saliva to 'test' to see if you have consumed any controlled substance(alcohol, weed, etc.) over the past month. So you would be convicted of impaired driving just by the reason of past consumption. The BC civil liberties association is fighting this.
An article on how MADD is spending it's money on other things, rather than using the money to go to accident victims. Sure would be interesting if the government did it's job and did a deep audit of this 'charitable' organization.
following an investigative report by the Toronto Star that claimed just 19 cents from every dollar raised actually goes to victim services and fighting drunk driving.
False drinking driving accident numbers.
How about statistics about how many drinking driving accidents there actually are? If there was any alcohol was involved, by either a drunk pedestrian getting hit by a car or even a driver who had one drink. Even if a non-driving passenger was drunk. It will be used to warp the statistics on exactly how many drunk driving related accidents there are. A link to a interesting writeup.
Handheld Breathalyzers. Are they accurate? Test is thrown out if a person burped during the test or if the person has 'acid reflux disease'. Plus, the testing equipment may only test for the components of alcohol and not alcohol itself. Many people have tested this fact with purchased machines and then ate various foods. . . A very good example was a 'fire breather'. He would put high proof alcohol in his mouth and blow fire. At a roadblock, he was stopped for smelling of alcohol. He blew over the limit, of course. Was he drunk? No, he was not. The machine only read the alcohol residue in his mouth and not his body. Get a second ,more valid opinion from the station machine or a blood test at the hospital for blood alcohol content.
And a big one is too make sure the officer has put in a fresh mouth piece. You do not want to be blowing on a contaminated mouthpiece, that could give you a disease. Health regulations should enforce your actions, should an officer refuse to put in a new mouthpiece, after he pulls the unit from his dirty pocket......
This is one of the biggest government corruption issues today. The government and police want less bar related drivers on the road. Yet the government allows liquor serving hours to 2am and allows bars/pubs in areas that do not have needed public transportation late at night(such as bus service). Bars even have too many parking spots for patrons. What? If the issue of the designated driver were brought up. You would notice that bar parking lots should only hold 1/4 of bar seating(1 designated driver to 4 seats). If the government cared about drinking drivers, The government would cut back liquor serving hours to 11pm(including off-sales). The bar can stay open longer to 2am without serving alcoholic drinks.
The government refuses to reduce liquor serving hours, due to all the money that they get from the tax on alcohol. This is major corruption. It is like the cigarette tax. The various governments place major restrictions on where you can smoke, but do not stop cigarette sales because of all the tax money collection. The government has even relented and allowed liquor advertising back on television. Why? More ad's means more sales and that means more tax profit.... .. . It also has to do with freedom of communication and advertising a 100% legal product.
C.A.T. (Combat Auto Theft).
It is a program where you put this sticker on the back of your car and it allows the patrolling(as in driving) police to stop your vehicle in the middle of the night and check the drivers papers, as well as the vehicles papers. It is meant for people who do not drive at night(or rarely) and should their car be stolen, it allows the police to stop it. But. With the amount of roadblocks there are, the police are going to stop the vehicle at some point and illegally question the driver, before even noticing the sticker.
This program is supported by people who have no problem signing away their rights and the rights of others.
Coquihalla Toll Booth roadblock.
The roadblock is generally in the east bound direction, as the police(sometimes including D.O.T.(Commercial Vehicle Enforcement)) can hide their vehicles behind the toll booth office. And not many people notice that after a car pays it's toll, the car stops again in about 50 feet, to be detained, questioned and possibly have their vehicle checked for maintenance practices(just an excuse to search vehicles for illegal activity). Camera's can see this activity, but images are no longer made available to the public. ..This Roadblock is noticeable, when only two booth's open and vehicles over to the right side of the toll Plaza, separated by one empty booth.
BC Highways Cameras.
Pre-pay for your gas , as of Feb. 1 .2008 in BC.
The Nanny State comes to British Columbia. The police are too lazy to catch people who do gas and runs, as it is only a misdemeanor . How can the BC government treat it's people as criminals all the time with bad legislation as this. Make the law that gas and runs are a major crime ,punishable by jail time. But that would cost the government money and cause the police to have to do their job.
The excuse of Workmans Compensation rules is bogus.
Why do we have to be assaulted like this in BC, without representation. Premier Gordon Campbell once said, "The people elected us, so we must be doing what the people want", as in violating peoples rights and freedoms and treating everyone as criminal till proven otherwise.
The right of innocence is lost.
A pamphlet for students on how you may be being abused in your school from the BC civil liberties association.
So next time someone in power wants to search your person or locker for illegal activity with out evidence of any crime being committed by you ? Show them the book or have them call the police if they think you broke a law. If the officer allows an illegal search? Complain to the police complaints commission about them.
And many other publications for you to look through and see just what are your rights and what rights are not supported by the police or government(mostly all of them not supported).
Or does the principal have the drug or alcohol testing kit and says only he and the vice-principal can use it and doesn't need no evidence to use it on you? If you refuse? Well you get suspended for a week. Use the machine and fail? Well indefinite suspension. Which means don't come back here unless you are prepared to kiss the principals butt. If you are indeed innocent of some made up crime? Call the police in. And tell the officer what your rights are and the officer is expected to comply with those rights. Do you have visible signs of drug use or being drunk? No? File a complaint with the school board to have the principal reprimanded. Rights begin at birth...And no one or no place can take that away from you....
Principal Mark Wintjes of 100 mile jr. high BC , 2006/2007, as an example. He comes into the school as new principal and more or less declares marshal law and that student rights do not exist. He was reported to the BC Civil Liberties Association, who sent him a letter in 2006. The next years writeup in the local paper . The principal said he never used the machines, but is going to institute a prison rodeo system to keep the kids occupied after school. Prison rodeo? For people who do not know how some prisons are run in the United States. They do this type of activity to keep the prisoners occupied in cattle country. Maybe Mark Wintjes realized he may be sued for abusing students. If a student commits a crime, such as 'unlawful consumption', the police are to be called. Very simple. And it's the law.
Some high schools have mandatory Breathalyzer tests at school social events. Is this legal? Probably not. But you don't want to look like a hero and start lawfully protesting, for saying no to a test of alcohol consumption , when there is no evidence of alcohol on or in your person. And if you refuse the test and stay and begin to warn other students about the illegality of the test? Police will be called to escort you off of school property with various threats against your person by the police. . .Maybe thats why the BC government only allows 1 week in grade six to teach you your rights and freedoms. . .Educate the public yearly and freedom shall live for years.
In Boston. The police started to 'randomly' test youths on the street, without just cause of alcohol consumption with a Breathalyzer. Yet again, illegal.
Freedom of communication. Right to peaceful assembly. Right to be on school grounds, as you are a student there. Right of innocence. Right to protest. . . Right to not be assaulted by the police with pepper spray and Tasers(not a right yet, but people are trying to at least make the police accountable for the police officers and commanding officers crimes against peaceful protesters).
Also adding that no school teacher or principal has the right or legal authority to 'Strip Search' Students for anything. And that includes being frisked. If there is enough legal evidence of a crime? Once again the police are to be called in. But once again. Students parents need to be called before any strip search were to begin. And don't forget. Only males allowed to strip search Males. And only Females allowed to strip search Females. But hard evidence needs to be presented before any search begins.
Public School uniforms.
Heres an interesting Rights issue for young people. Should students in public schools be forced to wear uniforms to attend school? Simple answer should be , No. Why? Something called freedom of expression. Why do we want to raise Drones who all act alike and look alike. Some foolish adults think uniforms are the one cure all for all school problems. According to the constitutions freedom of expression, you should not be forced to wear a uniform to attend public school, and the school system can not deny you your Right to an education for not wearing a uniform. Plus the covered up issue of the expense, that legally, schools should have to pay for 5 uniforms per week for each student, plus laundering of each uniform weekly, paid for by the school. Why should any family be forced to spend money on an object not needed for education of their children.
Also remember that you can go to school with pink hair or a Mohawk haircut or various piercings or even baggy pants without your butt crack showing. But do not slather yourself in toxic perfumes or body lotions that smell. The rule of 'no spaghetti straps' tops is a strange one. Possibly made by an adult who gets 'excited', shall we say, upon seeing a young ladies bra strap. Or the thought of no bra(because of no straps) would be horrendous. In South America, the natives never needed clothes(and still don't), until the stupid white man came along with their own beliefs(religion) and forced the natives into covering up any thought of a sexual part of the body showing.

U.N.: Tasers Are A Form Of TortureNEW YORK (CBS News) ― A United Nations committee said Friday that use of Taser weapons can be a form of torture, in violation of the U.N. Convention Against Torture.
Tasers are not allowed to be kept by civilians in Canada . So that should make a Taser a dangerous weapon , correct? Wrong. the police use Tasers like a toy across North America. Many people have been killed by Tasers or even tortured. The list of links is just too long to compile on this subject. But a Google search link anyways.
Should an officer be arrested and jailed for murder, by killing someone with a taser when the taser did not need to be used??? Well since tasers are not a deadly weapon, the simple answer by government is NO.....
An interesting news item just came up. So last year(2006) an officer drowns(suicide?) using a Zodiac in Okanagan Lake north of Kelowna BC.Now after he died, the police automatically pulled all Zodiacs out of the water due to some 'magical' defect that could kill someone else. Turned out to be the upgraded motor and modified steering linkage. So why are Tasers not pulled due to the amount of people dieing from them? Well as the Kelowna BC police explain it..."People are becoming more violent and causing an increased use of Tasers". But the truth? If an officer pulls out his gun? Well thats paper work. If an officer pulls out his Taser? Well thats a recharge and a good laugh later on how the guy 'danced' like a worm.
Are officers that commit a crime, above the law?
Should an officer that murders someone ,execution style, with a gun , in lockup be tried for murder? Once again the governments answer is NO. Besides there was only one witness left alive(the officer) and the lockup camera was turned off or the tape was rewinding. Convenient wasn't it. Should an officer that murders someone on the street be tried for murder? Well yes, but once again any police complaints commission is peppered with former officers who will take a blatant murder case with lots of evidence and say the officer was justified in the murder........Why is it that female officers do not have a big chip on their shoulder as the males?
Do they ever properly follow up stories that they print on officers that commit these crimes? That would depend on what the popular story of the week is..It's all about ratings now. You can get more information about what really matters in blogs and the rest of the internet.

But in the article..Alcohol deaths are not the number one criminal cause of death in Canada. Also the BC Civil Liberties Association is fighting a bill in Ottawa(against MADD) that would allow the police to use the evidence of 'past consumption' to convict a person of impaired driving without impairment being present at all.

Bicycle helmet law in BC.........
Let me start with the phrase..."I hate all races with equal enthusiasm". So don't be calling someone racist for pointing out faults in the system.
It is a law that is discriminatory. Everyone has to wear a helmet when riding a bicycle, except for Sikh's. Why? Well someone in government believed the story about how Sikh's can not cover the turban and so they got the exemption. No one can seem to find anything about not covering the turban and you also see Sikh's covering their turbans at times. So why did this happen? Well government wanted the Sikh votes, and because one Sikh was a loudmouth and threatened the government with whatever excuse. The government granted the exemption......All laws are supposed to apply to all people all the time. Remember that the proper, official RCMP uniform now includes a turban. Come to Canada and change our laws to suit yourself the Heritage Minister says. Try this same stuff in India and go to jail. (An interesting note: In India, a man had his old pillow case taken to the Tailer to change it into underwear. The problem? The fabric was the national flag. Jail time for him instantly).
And a side observation..... No one in Canada is allowed to have firecrackers. Except for the Chinese..The police look the other way in that case, to not upset the Chinese community.
In the States,,A black man driving a nice car in a neighborhood of well to do white people? The police stop him and read him the riot act. Not fair ,Is it. Or someone traveling with a large amount of money on his person..Must be from drug sales, says the officer after an illegal search and then steals the money in the name of justice.
Should police officers take drug tests?
So should all police officers be made to take drug tests every two weeks and also random tests as well? Yes. And then factor in (using the officers duty logs) just what an acceptable amount of drugs in their system would be. Steroids should be banned. No Cocaine. No Heroin(Poppy seed eating will give a false positive and result in a retest).. Marijuana levels??? Some pain relievers can also cause false positives for drugs. Retest as well.
And just why should the police be tested regularly? They want everyone else to be. So lets test the police to keep things even.
But the police are supposed to be pure and have never committed a crime, right? Absolute power, corrupts absolutely.
Dash mounted cameras in police cars.
Why are there no dash mounted cameras in BC police cars? Well the policeman's union keeps it that way. Why provide easy evidence to court on how an officer is conducting himself, or evidence of an assault. The cameras are there for police protection as well. Whats wrong with a government that refuses to mandate this into law.
Officer by-pass their conviction and get criminal record sealed.
Should an officer that is actually brought to court for breaking the law and is convicted ,be allowed to have his criminal record sealed? NO. Sealing the record allows the officer to keep his job and continue 'protecting' the people of this nation....Even though if the crime he committed was a major one. He may end up working in Northern Canada as punishment. Or just to keep him out of the spotlight for a couple of years.. Please make sure if you take an officer to court, that you make a request to the judge at the start, to ask that if the officer is convicted, that the officers record to be not sealed.
D.O.T. Department of Transportation. (Commercial Vehicle Enforcement).
These are people who rove around in gangs and accuse truckers(and sometimes private vehicles) of crime without evidence of a crime. They have no powers other than stopping vehicles and writing a ticket for whatever they can think up at times(meaning a truck may fail the test by having one small burned out marker light. Causing biased statistics). The "inspector" is supposed to have a valid mechanics license(4 years of training at a mechanics shop), But some do not have this diploma. Some have only the two weeks training course on what components of a vehicle to check on. . . .
The truck scales have a scam going on. If a transport truck comes in overweight. The truck is given an 'overweight ticket' and then in the same motion. The truck is given an 'overweight permit' to be allowed to continue on. Meaning that the scales are useless and meant to generate revenue, instead of controlling axle weights on our roads. . . .
Spring road restrictions now end at May first, instead of when the road is ready to have full weight again. This scam was set up by road maintenance to give the roads 3 less months a year of lighter truck traffic to avoid the cost of bringing roads up to the 21st century standards. And also allows D.O.T. to generate overweight truck revenue on a road that has had the restriction on a month too long already.
Heres an interesting one. Officer picks up a youth/person off the streets and takes the youth to lockup and strip searches him. Officer then releases youth/protester two miles away from where youth/protester was picked up. . . Whats wrong with this scheme? Youth/protester/person did not commit any crime to be stopped(kidnapped) in the first place and taken to lockup. No ticket. No crime. People have died or been tortured by this blatant disregard for our rights. Died? On the Canadian Prairies. Men picked up and then dropped off outside of town when it was about 20 below Celsius ...Officer still free. . . .Tortured? Native youth in Merritt BC. Picked up and then at strip search. Youth refused to remove small neck medicine bag. Officer then proceeds to repeatedly taser the Youth. Then to make matters worse. Investigation is done by fellow officers, who of course, saw no wrong.. In the civilian world, this is called, hostage taking and rape...
It is also an offense for an officer to stop you from walking down the street and then forcing you to ID yourself. Is there someone the police are looking for? No? Get his name and number and file for charges.
Remember also, that the police can not just stop you, to search your person or baggage.
Forced confessions or questioning.
Remember that if the police stop you(or take you to the station) and start to interrogate you about some crime(as a witness or accused). You do have the right to first talk to your lawyer or legal advise service, or parents(or have them present), before answering any police questions. Threats to make you talk, such as, "You are not leaving or talking to anyone until you answer my(the officer) questions", Should not be tolerated. You can not be prevented from going to the washroom to relieve yourself either.
Are roadblocks the cause of so many assaults against civilians?
There would seem to be a direct relation between the increased amount of roadblocks and the increased amount of abuse and assaults committed against innocent people of BC and Canada.
The police have become used to violating the constitution, rights and laws of this land and the government continues to ignore whats happening or in actual fact, is ordering the police what to do and then denying any involvement later.
Are news stations biased against reporting on the crimes police commit daily?
Does your local news station care about reporting the violations that happen at roadblocks? NO. They actually advertise for free for the police(I'm pointing at you Global BC ,Vancouver). If they were to videotape the unlawful questioning at the roadblock the reporter may get roughed up, or just denied access to the police for interviews. Which is something that has actually been happening for awhile. Why doesn't global BC report on what our rights are instead. What actions are allowed to be done by the police and Where to report violations too......
John Peters in Kelowna BC was attacked by a Taser wielding Officer Constable Brad Loughheed, While Peters was sitting in his car(Double parked). The officer is amazingly on Vacation. But may receive a written reprimand. Where are the charges against this officer? Well the victim has to file a complaint for any slim chance of charges being laid...Will CHBC Kelowna do a follow up in about 2 weeks? Will CHBC confront this criminal officer, who a lawyer even said should not be allowed to use a Taser? Will CHBC justify this statement from their webpage.."A Kelowna Mountie is facing discipline for wrongly tasering a man." That should read as,,""A Kelowna Mountie may face a written reprimand for assaulting a helpless man with a Taser"". The victim is now filing a 'Civil Lawsuit' against the RCMP and officer. YES. You can sue the police for wrongful crimes against you and get money for your injuries and the stigma of the police calling you a combative criminal. The smart people also demand a public apology.
An update on this above news story. Jan 19 2009. Well it's been a year or so and John Peters was offered $2500 by the RCMP to settle the lawsuit. And no way is John taking that. Johns lawyer says $10,000 is a starting point. The officer is still not charged with assault and continues to protect the public.
Another station supported commercial of "Buzzed driving is drunk driving" . Apparently this CW11 station(WPIX TV http://cw11.trb.com/) in the States does not know the definition of drunk driving, which is over a certain BAC. Buzzed driving is technically called 'impaired' driving(even though that can be used to describe a drunk driver). A different charge and criteria technically. But is the 'buzz' affecting the driving performance or just an excuse for the police to attack more drivers? And the police use the excuse of drivers on DRUGS to setup even more roadblocks. There are many seniors who drive that should not have a license anymore. But since the police don't feel the need to constantly cruise for bad drivers..........................
Was that traffic ticket you got conducted legally?
So according to law. If you are stopped(traffic ticket or such) ,you pull over to the nearest curb and deal with the issue. So the police will trespass on private property by....They set up in a location where there is no safe shoulder. So they set up in front of a church or mall parking lot. They stop you and then point you into the lot for your ticket, etc. .Now a judge would have to rule if the police are trespassing on private property(a criminal violation that would render the ticket illegal. You can not break the law to enforce the law. And is the speed trap in a safe 'shouldered' road area?). Does the officer have in his hands the permission document from the parking lot owner to use the lot as a criminal detainment area? Will he show it to you when you demand it, as he gets angry at you for not following his orders and breaking the law, since you have no business going on that property? What happens if you have to leave the car in that lot? Will it go to the most expensive towing yard in town? Will it be broken into?
Another example is officers parking their cars in one lane of a two lane 'low traffic use' highway overpass to use the radar gun on highway travelers. The officer is breaking the law by blocking that lane of traffic, just for a speed trap. This happens in the Chilliwack to Hope, BC stretch. The same area of officers who set up an illegal 'Drug roadblock' on highway 1 eastbound near Hope and were trained by Texas State troopers, who are known for violating people routinely.
So many needless deaths committed by the police.
This is also from the BC Civil Liberties site.
""Since 1992, 267 people have died while in the custody of or while being pursued by the police in British Columbia, an average of almost 18 each year."""
And the story news link.
Imagine having a medical problem(stumbling, falling down or slurring your speech) and being arrested off the street without a second opinion from an ambulance crew. That is where some of these deaths come from.. But some drivers are being Tasered or assaulted through the windows of their vehicles. The officer automatically thinks the driver pulled onto the side of the road is drunk and figures that no one will care about the assault.. But the driver is having a diabetic fit or a seizure and requires immediate medical attention. .
Canadian gun registry.
Did you register your guns in the waste of a billion dollars gun registry? Well you signed up for an officer without a warrant or even 'just cause' ,to come knocking on your door, ordering you to show that your guns are securely stored. And as an added bonus....The officer visually searches your house for evidence of any crime. Your unlawful justice system at work. Where is the right of innocence first? . . .Remember Robert Pickton? The pig farmer/hooker killer. Thats how he was caught. Officer noticed some womens ID's on a table and that illegal evidence search led to his arrest. .Because as you might already know. The police don't care too much about dead hookers. And the police were already aware of the Pickton pig farm, but did nothing for so many years.
Pickton convicted of 6 murders on Dec.9.2007. . . . Bet the rookie officer who broke the case has been promoted. If the search had been ruled illegal?(That is if the defense went that way) The rookie officer would still be a rookie officer and the excuse of "He was unskilled ,as a new officer" , would of been posted.
A few years ago. Commercials in BC that were implying that the mythical Santa Claus was a drunk, Because of his red nose and rosy cheeks. Now how do you think a child will react to that commercial thinking that Santa is in jail for DUI?
Another commercial had Black and White characters from the 40's talking like they did back then. Apparently these type of people are drunks too.
Another commercial in the United States has a person trying to drive with the vehicle half full of some mystery liquid. Any one would find it hard to drive that way too.
And I seem to remember one from HGTV Canada, about a police helicopter with lights flashing having pulled over Santa Claus and his Sleigh and then asking for Santa Claus's papers.
Why all the Theatrics???
So whats this have to do with government and police corruption? If road maintenance practices(winter maintenance mainly) lead to an accident on the roads, causing death of a person. The police will not charge road maintenance with 'creating a situation, resulting in the death or injuries of the person'. Between Vernon and Falkland BC(and further west) on the hwy 97 one winter. Road maintenance allowed the highway to turn to black ice. There was one sander on the road(near WestWold) and all it was doing was plowing the shoulder and not dropping any sand. The highway had obviously iced over for at least 3 hours. A car slid out of control on a slight curve and was then hit in the side by an empty logging truck who tried to avoid hitting the vehicle. The lady died. But since she was old. No charges of course.
Road maintenance gets paid a set amount for the winter. Meaning that they will spend as little money at the start of winter and hopefully rake in a big profit for unspent money at the end of winter. Unless the winter is more snowy than usual. Then when they near the end of the set money. They start to spend more(Oh look how safe the road is now, with salt being used). Then the government will start paying for any overages and the maintenance company gets to enjoy more money paid to them for all that extra work. Corruption at it's finest.
You know that, oh so helpful integrated, vehicle cell phone, to make yourself feel safer when driving? If you read the user agreement, you will see it does a lot more than just help you open your locked door. It tracks your mileage. Accident data. Where you are. Etc.
A conventional hand held cell phone makes contacts to cell towers to know where you are on the network.
This is a far flung way for the police to once again avoid their sworn duties. A proposal in Kelowna BC. Drunks, instead of going to jail for the night, will be sent to Detox Centers to lie on a mat for awhile and get some type of medical attention(so they don't die during their stay, like in RCMP lockup). Legal issues abound. Like? Can you force someone to go to a detox center without their own free will? If the center forces Detoxification methods on the person. Will that person have a cause to sue? The police think this will free them up from doing drunk duty in the jail cells...That's not true. The police have to still drop off the drunk and process them. But no processing, means no crime and the drunk is a hostage for at least 12 hours. Not legal is it.
Is a drug roadblock legal? Since the officers are looking for criminal activity, the simple answer is, NO. A few years ago on Hwy 1(and still possible now), just west of Hope BC. The RCMP set up a roadblock(no Hwy signs to slow down. Officer standing in east bound direction, middle line of highway with traffic cones around his position). Looking(profiling) for drug runners. A Vancouver officer was pulled over by a Texas State Trooper????? Troopers were teaching the RCMP how to violate people the Texas way. The victim officer did not show his police ID or identify himself as such, since he was apparently an honest Vancouver police officer. . .The police carry these little cards that identify themselves to avoid tickets for crime(also same for family members). . .So the Vancouver officer refused to show any papers to the Texas Trooper, as Troopers have no legal powers in Canada. The RCMP officer that then came over, Looked at the victims ID and then told him to go. Almost immediately, a RCMP officer hunted down the victim and stopped the victims vehicle. Then an illegal search was started of the victim and vehicle, including the body and clothing of the officers young son. . . . .So the victim sued and won in court. But since the settlement included a 'no tell agreement' ,We will never know any more.
This is what our legal system has become. Officers willingly violating persons without any legal justification. It needs to stop. If this happens to you? Don't allow a 'No tell agreement' in court. Keep the whole case open to the public, no matter how much the police threaten you with a very diminished settlement.
Heat seeking house scans by the police.
Here is an interesting one that is kept quiet. Many years ago, BC hydro/gas came upon the notion to fly(at legal elevations) over neighborhoods and scan houses and use the heat signature to send the homeowners info about upgrading attic insulation. . . .So the police end up using the technology now to fly at illegal elevations(to low) with their planes and helicopters and scan houses to look for grow-op's... So now the police have hand held Thermal Imagers. And it is quite possible they will use these machines to side scan houses looking for more grow-ops. . . But is all this scanning considered an illegal search? I have not researched this subject, But someone who gets caught with a Grow-op will generally just take the loss of product and not go to court to fight any ticket(if it even makes it to court) that may have resulted(Grow-ops are wrong, but the police cause them to destroy rental housing, by their insatiable enforcement methods). . .Even BC Hydro is being coerced, to provide the police information of hydro users, consuming too much power, from what should be normal. This results in increased police presence in your neighborhood. So Grow-operators will go to the point of by-passing the Hydro meter. Many a time, You may talk to someone at some place, who will point out the quiet neighbors with the curtains closed and fogged up windows..It's a Grow-op in progress.. . . . . And whats funny is that people who are on 'medical marijuana', say the government grown marijuana is too weak to have any effect on their ailment.............
Another touch on the 'Thermal Imaging' is that when the 'Bushman of the Shuswap' was at large near Salmon Arm. The police practically refused to use these planes to look for him(well about once). Instead they allowed him to be at large for about two years. And the Bushman would regularly roam into Sicamous and use the pay phone. And no officer noticed him. Why? He was a minimum security prison escapee. People did not like this very much at all.
Tracking drivers via micro chips in drivers licenses. Coming in 2009 To BC.
How to disable(break). Shine a bright light behind license while looking at it. See the dark spot(RFID). Mark it. Take hammer to chip area(not too hard so you don't damage license). No more tracking of you. . . .Hopefully this information will prevent it from coming to British Columbia. . . . By the way, That digital drivers license photo and signature? Already in Canada's crime computer. The Government only needs your thumb print next, to have a complete set.
This is information to protect your right to privacy and to prevent the government from scanning you as you drive by to track you or harass you.
States to Track Drivers Through Licenses
A federal program promotes driving license technology that allows the tracking of motorists even when they are not driving.
Enhanced licenseElectronic monitoring of motorists will soon expand dramatically as states including Arizona, Michigan, Vermont and Washington begin to use radio frequency identification (RFID) chips in drivers' licenses. These electronic chips broadcast the identity of any card holder to any chip-reading sensor within a minimum of thirty feet. The US Department of Homeland Security is promoting the tracking projects as part of its Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative.
"Multiple cards can be read at a distance and simultaneously with vicinity RFID technology, allowing an entire car full of people to be processed at once," a DHS fact sheet on the Passport Card technology explained.
So imagine the police scanning licenses at a distance at a party or event center(How many licenses show up depending on distance). The police then set up a roadblock down the road and scan vehicles as they approach. Event vehicles then subject to increased detainment for illegal activity.
Main post below link.. http://roadblockbc.blogspot.com/2007/11/roadblock-bc.html
Is it legal for the police to routinely swab peoples mouths at a normal traffic stop? NO. Why? There is no evidence of a crime that would warrant the swabbing of your mouth to check for drug use or to collect DNA for the crime bank. The link below shows an example in Florida where the police were obviously breaking the law and violating peoples rights(same here in Canada) by collecting DNA samples from drivers to try and find a serial killer with the samples. A Canadian was also swabbed, because he did not know his rights. The article fails to mention that the police were breaking the law.
If an officer asks for a swab for DNA or drug use? Tell the officer to see what the judge says, as the officer has no grounds to collect such samples. You will be assaulted for your actions, but a judge will absolve you of any wrong doing. And ask the judge to punish the officer for his crime and to make sure that no one else is treated this way again ever.
You could contact the BC Civil Liberties Association for assistance in the matter.
***************Fluoride in drinking water.
Fluoride is toxic waste from fertilizer factories and is disposed of, for free, in drinking water under the presumption that it is good for your teeth. It should never be put in anyones drinking water, under any circumstances. This website has much information.
Join the BC Civil Liberties Association (I have no affiliation with them). They need money to continuously fight these Government and Police criminals.
And a clip from their site.
There are many ways to support the BCCLA: by making a bequest in your will, naming the organization as a beneficiary in your life insurance policy, transferring stocks or shares, making a donation in honour of someone instead of buying a gift, throwing a fundraising party on our behalf, or inviting your friends to join the BCCLA.
If your community group chooses a cause to support each year, please consider the BCCLA and we can provide leaflets or even a speaker. If your workplace conducts a United Way campaign, your regular gift can do twice as much if you designate it to the BC Civil Liberties Association and include our registered charity number:And how about paying for an ad in your local paper for BCCLA with their permission?
